Data Engineer (m/f/d) We're looking for a Data Engineer who has hands-on experience integrating databases and external APIs, understands AWS infrastructure, and is comfortable working with tools like DBT to model and transform data. You'll help build and scale our data platform from ingestion through to the warehouse layer, powering AI Agents, BI, and decisions across the organization. You will: Build and maintain data pipelines from ingestion through to storageTake end-to-end ownership of pipeline componentsModel data using data lake and warehouse concepts, and contribute to performance improvements (partitioning, file formats, tuning)Apply data governance and security practices in your work (least-privilege IAM, encryption, PII handling)Support the team with data quality, coding consistency and data availabilityCollaborate with analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into working data solutionsIdentify, formulate, and propose improvements to your own and your team’s practices The Next Moonfarian: 2–4 years of hands-on experience building and maintaining data pipelines in productionStrong Python and advanced SQL skillsBasic Scala experience, or a willingness to pick it upIf not, excellent domain of Java or C#Familiarity with DBT (models, tests, documentation)Solid working knowledge of AWSExperience with relational databases and data warehousesConfident in Git, CI/CD, and modern deployment practicesPractical experience with DockerSolution-oriented, strong attention to detail, and open to feedback and mentorshipNice to haveExperience with Apache Spark or a similar distributed processing frameworkWorking knowledge of K8Bash scriptingFlyway or similar SQL migration tools If you feel you do not meet all of the requirements, we still encourage you to apply!   Our Values: Our clients come first, Moonfare comes second, and we prioritise ourselves third - Client-Centric Focus.
