AI Product Engineer

duct Engineer who uses AI to ship fast. ⚠️IMPORTANT: This is not a traditional coding role. You'll use Claude Code and other AI tools to 10x your output, always thinking about how the product or feature you are working on benefits the user. Also: we have no QA team, you OWN the quality of what you ship! 🌱Full ownership: every engineer at YGO owns their work end-to-end (IC + DRI). There is no architect handing you designs and no lead reviewing over your shoulder. Within your area, you are the architect. Our pod leads are spokespeople and coordinators, not technical gatekeepers. Growth path: we identify future pod leads from within. If client conversations, coordination and product planning appeal to you, say so. It's a genuine plus, never a requirement. 🧑‍💻 What you'll actually do: Own features end-to-end: from specs to deployment to fixing bugsUse Claude Code to generate Golang backend codeReview AI output for quality and architectural fitFix bugs to learn our codebase, then rapidly build new featuresMake quick decisions on what to build vs buy vs generate with AITalk to customers when they report issues and ship fixes same day 📚 Our stack: Backend: Go monorepo (no framework, 3+ services)Hosting: PaaS-managed containers, local setup fully mirrors production via Docker ComposeTools: Jaeger tracing, Betterstack (Logging, Alerting), Redis Asynq queueDatabases: PostgreSQL, RedisAI tooling: Claude Code (mandatory) 🚢 Products you will build: An AI search & recommendation engine for major travel enterprises: enterprise integration work (SSO, GDS integrations) with demanding customersA content enrichment API: high-scale, data- and AI-focused backend workPlatform: internal tooling, agentic systems, API connections to supplier and client platforms, data ingestion pipelines, LLM providers ✅ You must have Ownership mentality with a strive for elegantly simple, high-quality solutionsStrive for max quality: you test your own work thoroughly since we have no QA team, everything you ship MUST workProduct mindset: you care about WHY we're building somethingProven experience using Claude Code, specific examplesStrong Golang experience, you'll review AI's code and you must understand how it worksPassion for simple, secure and observable systems which perform well even under massive loadAbility to do on-call once in a while to help maintain our platform's reliability & uptimeBroad architectural knowledge of building modern full-stack applicationsExcellent spoken English and good internet connection for daily video calls⚠️ European or African timezones (±3 hours from CET)Available full-time (40 hours/week) 🌟 Nice to have Deep expertise in one domain such as SRE/DevOps, databases, security, data science or GDS/travel techInterest in client-facing work, coordination or product planning ❤️ You are a great fit if you: Think in features and architecture and not single lines of codeGet frustrated when development takes weeks instead of daysCan spot subtle bugs in AI-generated code quicklyShip fast but always verify it actually worksHave shipped real products that customers actually useThink "how can AI build this?" as your first instinct ‼️Things to consider before applying that won't be a match: You've never used Claude Code or similar AI coding toolsYou're a perfectionist who loves to codeYou need detailed specs before startingYou prefer working to decisions made by an architect or a leadYou see AI as a threat rather than leverageYou're outside European/African timezones Find Jobs in Germany on Arbeitnow Skills: Product Engineering
